Here I am again! I make some appearances now and then just not to forget me! Always – always! when I don’t show up in the blog it means I’m working without mercy. The last month was one of these periods, I participated at 2 big projects at the same time. With deadlines the past week, so much pressure, agony if we’re gonna make it, condensed creativity and decisions! Very intense as every time, but as everything went well eventually I’m very satisfied and happy now that’s gone! And of course ready for real life again!!
This weekend was the first after this whole time that I could rest! Ohh…such a pleasure!!! I took care of my plants, I went out for walks by the sea, night and day, ate seafood, drank wine and ouzo, ate ice cream, I was hit by the sun so that I grumble about it and started having summer thoughts! This was the best one. I already make plans for quick excursions and imagine myself lying on the beach pebbles aaaaaaall day…
However, after this daydreaming post I will have to get back to work again, because work never ends lately…(steep landing!) but I have hope now, everything is under control! I say to myself… 🙂
Let’s have a cool shower to cope with the heat and continue our day!
Good morning there! Despite the working mode of this weekend I have a very summery mood, especially in the morning, when the sun is shinning but the world hasn’t been waken up yet. This quite moments are my favorite during the day, very peaceful! Although the summer vacations are very very away for me I already imagine myself taking my breakfast in such an environment like the above, an open air patio with a sea view. Just paradise..! I love everything in this photo, the simplicity, the greatness of nature, the serenity, the chair and the large cushion on the rocks!
So, for me this weekend is full of work, because the next month will be very exhausting as I realize. This should be pointed out on kids choosing architecture! “My kid, you know..you won’t have a peaceful summer never again!” “You must forget the nice tan you used to have on summer!” It’s a fact that the most of the projects happen during summer, so unfair! At least today I’m going to work from home, quietly I hope.
If I manage to close my ears on this super cute tiny kitten that begs me to adopt under my balcony!! Real torture!!!
Have a nice Sunday to all of you!! xoxo
See how a rug can give so much style! Moroccan ambience to your patio. Mamounia sky for The Rug Company
Now that the weather is real hot (at last I could say!) we want to spent our summer afternoons and nights outside, and we should. I’ll show you today how a rug can be used for these spaces and upgrade them a lot! I don’t know if you have a patio, a balcony, a backyard or nothing but these examples will give you some joy for sure! If you do have an outdoor space at your house after this post you’re gonna go for some shopping! Maybe you’re used to see rugs and kilims only inside the house but I assure you they are great for your patio too! They add some color and warm feeling that make you want to stay outside all the time. If you put also some floor cushions and lounge armchairs, if you have plants and flowers (greenery always gives many points) and maybe a beautiful tray with refreshments you’ve made a small paradise! Enjoy…
You can overdo it of course with rugs! If you have a lot of space get bold! Beldi Rugs have a lot of them
Beautiful balcony with a cat! Love it just because of the cat… Carpet of natural fibers is a very good idea for an outdoor space. Source unknown

And if you don’t want to put a rug outside, if you want this idea with a twist, why not painting one? Brilliant! See here how to.
Hello everyone! How is your weekend so far? Are you enjoying the sun somewhere calm or spending all day in bed? All I would like to do is spent some peaceful time in an environment like that lying in such a super cute deck chair and don’t think about anything stressful! Petting my cat with one hand and reading a book with the other… Have a nice Sunday!
Good morning this sunny saturday! At last the clouds in Athens left and let us feel the summer again. I don’t know what I’m gonna do today but it’s the first Saturday in months that I don’t have work plans, hooray! I was the first Saturday also that I didn’t put the alarm on, amazing right? A bit of tidying, a bit of laundry, of redecorating the house, of strolls with friends these are my plans for the weekend. Also these are the longest days of the year and I’m always very happy every time for it!
This patio above would be the perfect spot of relax with friends, drinking cold lemonade and eating cherries! Or DIYing with friends while catching up the latest news. DIY project that my blue flamingo proposes today, continuing the pinapple theme: Make your own pineapple night light! Perfect for the outdoor table these summer nights 🙂
In fact it was yesterday afternoon that I was driving in the highway, the sky was magnificent with a beautiful sunset and suddenly the radio put this song…I felt like I was in a movie scene! Amazing moment… So, that’s why I wanted to hear it again today and from that moment I’m listening to opera arias with Maria Callas, I’m totally in the mood for a beautiful patio spending holiday time! That’s why I found the cutest gardens, balconys etc that inspired me, to share them with you! Have a beautiful morning!
Hello, hello!! The classic weekend posts are back, hooray!! After all this time, it’s the first Saturday I wake up without having to go to work and it’s so great! Drinking my coffee in a relaxing mode, watching inspiring pictures on pinterest and listening to good music. That’s my favorite ritual of putting my brain in function. Today I’m about to go for a walk in a design exhibition here in Athens, to be updated about new materials and products! What are your plans for this weekend?
If you are in a DIY mood I have here the best DIY project for your home!Fruit welcome mat! Let’s fill neighbourhoods with summer fruits!Source of “love weekend” photo here.
After a long rainy week here in Athens, I have again a feeling for summer houses and relaxing refuges! That’s a great opportunity for this amazing villa in Capri, summerresidence of architect and designerMatteo Thun.
Overlooking the Marina Piccola and surrounded by a lemon tree garden the outdoor space is magical and the view just breathtaking! And what can I say about the interior..the tiles on the walls are fantastic! Clean, neutral space with some bold touches of colour, the murano chandellier makes the perfect match and the outdoor dinning table is unique!
I find all these “bathrooms” just amazing! The idea of taking a shower in the open air reminds me the summers when I was little, where we used to rinse after the sea, outside in the yard. With the garden hose most of the times. These examples have taken this idea one step ahead and created a space very practical but most important relaxing and beautiful!
Black&White &wood in the nature. Nice element the bench idea
Simplicity wins every time! Who needs more?
Minimal design dominates here

Simple things. I love the door!
